What causes a Demonic Stronghold?
ENTRY POINTS FOR DEMONIC STRONGHOLDS:
What exactly is an entry point? It is what it sounds like. It is a spiritual door whereby spiritual entities can enter. The PRIMARY (but not only) ENTRY POINT is WILLFUL, REPEATED, UNCONFESSED SIN. When we willfully sin, we create a breach in God’s protective hedge that we receive at the time of our salvation. This breach is commonly referred to as an “open a door” which permits entry to whatever demon(s) is/are aware of the opening. Willful and repeated sin gives demon(s) LEGAL right to come and go AT WILL for the express purpose of our destruction.
Ephesians 4:25-27 Therefore, rejecting all falsehood [whether lying, defrauding, telling half-truths, spreading rumors, any such as these], speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one another [and we are all parts of the body of Christ]. 26 Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger continue past when the sun goes down. 27 And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].
Let’s talk about lies: Thou Shalt Not Lie. The Enemy deceives us by subtly changing the Truth into a LIE. One example is a “white” lie. Most Christians would say there is no harm in a white lie. It’s a lie you tell in order “not” to hurt someone or to protect someone, so why wouldn’t it be okay? The Enemy, of course, wants you to believe there’s nothing wrong with a white lie. Remember, the Enemy comes ONLY to steal, kill and destroy. So whatever he’s selling Warriors, DON’T BUY INTO IT! ALL lies are SIN to God. Even a “white” lie can open a spiritual door for demonic entry.
Remember this old Cherokee saying: “The battle that goes on inside us is between two wolves. One is evil (the Enemy) and the other is good (God). The one that wins is the one you feed the most.” This is also true in the spirit realm. The more you “feed” the demons with continual, willful sin, the stronger they become. The problem is that whatever enters through the “open door” will affect you both spiritually, physically and mentally.
A blood bought, believing Christian cannot be possessed by the Enemy or his minions, because possession is “ownership.” Christ bought us back from the Enemy and sin at the cross so that NOW God owns us. Therefore, the Enemy cannot possess a believer. However, IF a believer gives the Enemy legal right through willful, repeated sin, he and his evil minions have legal right to oppress us AT WILL . . . and HE WILL.

Some Christians do not believe that all sickness is a result of sin. What did God tell Adam would happen if he ate from the forbidden tree (doing so was disobedience to God=SIN)? God replied, “You will surely die.” Adam and Eve did not die immediately. God created them to live eternally, but their sin brought about eventual death.

Whatever we listen to the most, watch the most, think about the most, becomes part of us. We also know that what goes in/comes out. We cannot add to our diet of God's Word (which produces life and renews our mind) any kind of erroneous or false teachings.
