WHY ME, LORD?
Just seems that no matter what presents itself in your life—no matter how you pray, how many people pray FOR you, you are not receiving God’s blessings. You’ve read scripture about it and you KNOW how God instructs/commands you to handle it, but you keep handling it YOUR OWN WAY.
Whenever we go against God’s Word/instructions/commandments and, instead choose to handle it any other way, it DOES NOT HAVE GOD’S BLESSING. It’s similar to keeping your vehicle in good running condition. If you let a problem continue that needs fixing, it will likely turn into a bigger problem down the road. If we go so far as not obeying His commands we create an opening in God's protective hedge that gives LEGAL ENTRANCE to Satan and all of his minions for the express purpose of "demonizing" us, which includes but is not limited to: all kinds of addiction (alcohol, drugs, gambling, sexual, smoking, pornography, etc.), acts born out of compulsion, anxiety, depression, despair, suicidal thoughts, suicide, inability to concentrate, sickness/disease, mental disorders, sleep disorders, financial trouble, relationship issues (spouse, family, friends), etc.
We are bombarded with "the world’s answers and remedies” to everything and it comes at us from every direction. God WILL NOT BLESS anything other than His way!! One more time: God will not bless anything other than His way!!
The Enemy, Satan, is not our friend. The Enemy will do whatever he can, use whatever tactic in your mind (that is the Battlefield) to convince you to turn away from/ignore God’s ways, His instructions, His commandments and His Word. Why do we have such a hard time believing this? Why do we keep thinking that our way will work out better in the end? God tells us that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways.
Some of us have been saved since an early age, our parents were in ministry, we were raised knowing and living God’s Word and even witnessed His miracles manifested in front of us, etc. Then tell me, "Why do we fight FOLLOWING HIS WORD?"
Exodus 20:3-6 “Thou shalt have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME; 6 And SHOWING MERCY UNTO THOUSANDS OF THEM THAT LOVE ME and KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.”

AND . . .
Exodus 34:14-17 (KJV) “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; 16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. 17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.”
Brethren, our God is a jealous God . . . in fact here His name is JEALOUS. When we choose the world’s ways and its remedies over God’s way, we are choosing to WORSHIP other gods!! In so doing, WE (not God) create a “communication breakdown” and a “blessing quencher.”
You see, in Deuteronomy, God tells us that “IF” we hearken DILIGENTLY to His voice and “do ALL of His commandments” he will bless us TOTALLY:
THESE BLESSINGS WILL COME ON YOU AND OVERTAKE YOU “IF” YOU SHALL HEARKEN DILIGENTLY TO GOD’S VOICE AND DO ALL OF HIS COMMANDMENTS (Deuteronomy 28:1-14):
1. You will be blessed in the city
2. You will be blessed in the field
3. Your children shall be blessed
4. The fruit of your ground shall be blessed
5. The fruit of your cattle shall be blessed
6. Increase of thy kine (cattle) shall be blessed
7. Flocks of your sheep shall be blessed
8. Your basket and your store shall be blessed
9. You will be blessed coming in and going out
10. Your enemies that rise up against you shall be smitten
11. Your enemies shall come against you one way and flee before you seven ways
12. Your storehouse shall be blessed
13. Everything you set your hand to do shall be blessed
14. Your land shall be blessed
15. The Lord will establish you unto Himself
Why in the world would you choose to serve Satan, choose his ways over God’s ways for ANYTHING? There is absolutely no benefit to doing it your way (believing so is a LIE from the Enemy). Any way except God's way IS Satan’s way. ANYTHING other than God’s way is serving Satan . . . serving another god. Am I wrong?? The Enemy does not want us to EVER OBEY the truth. That is why he continually messes with our minds. When we willfully, habitually choose another direction other than God’s we are sinning against Him (see demonizing list above). God’s name is JEALOUS.
Are you playing with God’s grace by keeping company (soul ties) with someone who serves other god(s)? Are you "holding onto) a relationship you promised God you would “end”, but keep lines of communication open, keep and look at pictures of them, have visits with them? Friend, you have made your decision for other god(s) if you have. If God is truly #1 in your life and you are “LIVING” your life for Him, you will MAKE A CLEAN BREAK and NOT TURN BACK.
What happened to Lot’s wife when she turned to look back??? Is it any wonder you are not being blessed by God? Have you refused to move on because you’re holding onto hope of getting back together? YOU promised God you would walk away. You should be committed to making choices for God and Him ONLY. You cannot serve two masters. You want to play with other gods and break your promises to God and still believe that God is going to bless you? “Ain’t” gonna happen!
You want to be blessed you in your coming in and your going out? You want to claim this blessing and all the others in the scripture above? Brothers and sisters, the blessings in the scripture Deuteronomy 28:1-14 are CONDITIONAL. “IF” you want God’s blessing, OBEY HIS WORD AND LIVE YOUR LIFE ACCORDING TO IT AND IT ALONE! If you don’t, you’ve defected to the other side. I don’t care how many aisles you’ve walked down, if you were prophesied over, if your folks were in the ministry or whether you graduated from Bible College.
If you have willful, habitual sin in your life, THAT SIN HAS OPENED A DOOR – not maybe has -- but HAS OPENED A DOOR (created a breach in God’s hedge of protection) and has given evil spirits/demons legal right to enter for the EXPRESS PURPOSE OF YOUR DESTRUCTION . . . YOU KNOW IT . . . YOU FEEL IT . . . THESE EVIL SPIRITS TORMENT YOU BY HAVING YOU QUESTIONING YOUR STANDING WITH GOD. You know what you have been holding onto, you know what you’re struggling with and NONE OF IT IS FROM GOD! All of this was created because of YOUR FREE WILL . . . YOUR CHOICES . . . choices made against God and His Word.
Indeed God is FULL of mercy . . . he is ALSO a jealous God and there are consequences to willful sin. God disciplines His children.
If you’ve been asking yourself, “Why me, Lord?” . . . if you have been playing with God . . . trying to hold onto the world while giving Him “flattering lip service”, make it right with Him RIGHT NOW -- restore your relationship/be reconciled to God. Repent and renounce the sin(s) you have been holding onto and seek DELIVERANCE.
To experience all of God’s blessings, you must commit to be diligent to LISTEN and OBEY HIS VOICE. There is no other way.
